Getting Ready for Class
Once you have decided that this class is right for you (for intended audience
click here), you will need to do the following things:
- Register for the course. For more information on ODU registration click HERE.
- Register on this web site. (click here to register on
the website).
- Buy the textbook (at any TELETECHNET site - or see information in the syllabus).
- Get a UNIX account on the DCS (Department of Computer Science) lab machines.
If you are a student registered for a CS course, and have never had a Unix account on the
CS Dept system, you can get your
account via
the web If you have had an account in the recent past, it should be regenerated for
you in any semester when you are
registered for a CS course. Otherwise, you will need to contact your instructor or from
the CS systems staff to get your account.
- Organize your UNIX directories for this course.
- Come the orientation section TBA at your
favorite TELETECHNET site.
