- Used to set the time, date, and the alarm

- Used to start and stop the chronograph

- Reset
- Used to reset the chronograph to zero
- Used in collaboration with other buttons to modify/set
certain features as described below
- Indiglo
- Used to cast an aqua light over the display
- Press/Hold displays light
- Light persistance
- Activation
- If deactivated, holding for
three (3) seconds causes light
to persist for three (3) seconds
after button is released and
upon successive presses/releases
- Deactivation
- If activated, holding for
three (3) seconds deactivates
light persistance
- Release turns light off, unless light persistance
[described above] is active
- Default Display
- What is it?
- The default display shows the following simultaneously:
- Displays the current time in HOUR:MINUTE.SECOND format
- Displays the current date in DAY MONTH YEAR format
- Displays the current heart rate
- Which mode?
- Activation/Deactivation
- If not on the default display, the mode button
can be used to arrive to this section
- Settings
- Set button in combination with the Start/Stop,
Reset, and Mode buttons can be used to change
the current time, the time format [12/24 hour],
and the date
- Chronograph
- What is it?
- Measures durations or time intervals
- Like standard digital display watches,
this will allow for the user to time
his/herself in a variety of activities,
such as running laps around a track.
- Which Mode?
- Mode 2
- NOTE: The chronograph is initiated and terminated
in Mode 2, however, the Mode button can be used
to change to another display while the
chronograph runs. If Mode 2, the chronograph, is
not selected, the Start/Stop button can be held
down to view the chronograph in a read-only
fashion.
- Activation/Deactivation
- Mode button is used to arrive to the chronograph
- Start/Stop button to start and stop the chronograph
- Reset button to reset the chronograph
- Settings
- There are no specific settings required for the chronograph
- Alarms
- What is it?
- Either a vibration or an audible sound is
created to get the user's attention. The
alarms for this watch can be used for a
variety of reasons, however, the ultimate
purpose is to awaken the user upon concluding,
through collaboration between a plethysmograph
and a accelerameter, that the user is alseep
- Which mode?
- Mode 3
- NOTE: The alarm is set in Mode 3, however,
the alarm will still work if Mode 3 is not
selected
- Activation/Deactivation
- Mode button is used to arrive to the alarms section
- Set button is used in combination with Start/Stop,
Reset, and Mode buttons to set the following
- Alarm Triggers
- Automatic Alarm (on/off)
- Activates when the watch detects the user
has fallen asleep
- Based on three items
- Resting heart rate (or base-line heart rate)
- Heart rate changes during sleep
- Wrist movement
- Requires calibration, may be done any antyime
but should specifically be activated before
going to sleep
- The watch will monitor the heart rate
over a set duration
- Drops in heart rate during set intervals
will be logged
- A base-line or resting heart rate found
during the initial stage of sleep will be
logged
- Initial stages of sleep will be
distinguished from later stages of sleep
- Scheduled Alarm (on/off)
- Activates at time set by the user
- The user can set activation intervals
- After the scheduled alarm activates
at the time determined by the user,
after it is turned off, it will
activate again after a corresponding
time interval has passed. This will
occur repeatedly until the user
officially deactivates the alarm.
- NOTE: Both the automatic alarm and the scheduled
alarm can be turned on at the same time. Activating
one does not require the deactivation of another.
- Alarm Types
- Vibration
- Audible
- Volume level 1: least audible
- Volume level 2
- Volume level 3
- Volume level 4
- Volume level 5: most audible
- Accelerometer
- What is it?
- This is an internal device that will not necessarily
be viewed by the user. Its purpose is to detect
quick movements of the user's wrist, specifically
wrist movement which goes from a duration defined by
inactivity followed by a sudden jerking or other such
movement.
- Activation/Deactivation
- Active when the Automatic Alarm is activated
- Deactive when the Automatic Alarm is deactivated
- Plethysmograph
- What is it?
- This is an internal device which monitors the user's
pulse. The data this device collets will be viewable
by the user in the Default display.
- Activation/Deactivation
- This device will be active at all times
